3 year stats

I was surprised to see her weight had increased as much as it did. She's such a skinny little peanut! Must have been the big breakfast this morning.

birth: weight - 7 pounds 1 ounce, height - 19 1/2 inches
2 month appointment: weight - 11 pounds, height - 22 inches
4 month appointment: weight - 13 pounds 5 ounces, height - 25 inches
6 month appointment: weight - 15 pounds 6 ounces, height - 26 1/4 inches
9 month appointment: weight - 17 1/2 pounds, height - 27 1/2 inches
12 month appointment: weight - 19 pounds, height - 30 inches
15 month appointment: weight - 20 1/2 pounds, height - 30 3/4 inches
24 month appointment: weight - 23 pounds, 10 ounces, height - 33 1/4 inches
36 month appointment: weight - 29 pounds, 2 ounces, height - 36 inches

No shots this time, but they took some blood from her little finger for a hemaglobin and cholesterol (?!?) check.

A 3 year old...

So yesterday was Addie's 3rd birthday. Wow, it is true that time flies when you are having fun. I paused working at 3:45 in the afternoon and reflected on 3 years ago, when I was holding a 20 minute old baby girl, just in awe of her. A girl! You see, everyone was sure she was going to be a boy. All the "old wives tales" said she was going to be a boy. I think my grandmother and I were the only ones that thought she might actually be a she. I was so thrilled to be right. Of course I love, love, LOVE my son as well - but I had wanted to at least be granted one daughter.

It's been an interesting 3 years. Some tears, some frustration, but a lot of smiles, a lot of laughs and a TON of love for that little girl. Who isn't so little anymore!
